CUTE BATHING SUITS

Is it too early to start thinking about bathing suits? Am I being overly optimistic that this summer will feel slightly more “normal”? Mike and I have one beach trip on the calendar and we are planning on joining a local social club that has a water element for the summer. I’m trying to just take things one day at a time– but I feel hopeful.

I do anticipate having to invest in a couple of bathing suits between my growing bump and growing chest. I don’t think there’s a single suit of mine I could wear today even. That said, I am not sure how I will feel body-wise this summer so I’m going to play it by ear. But that hasn’t stopped me from looking online. (You’d think I lived in Hawaii by the number of bathing suit ads I get online now… I keep searching and I keep clicking so I keep getting more and more ads.) Of course, I feel like bathing suits this year are EXTRA cute.

I want this one so badly…..

PS I think I’m going to try this maternity suit when I get a little bigger. I love how classic it is.

You should look into Youswim!! They’re designed to fit 7 sizes in one and are amazing for (normal!) fluctuating bodies! I have two and love them so much.

Like a country club with a pool, ha… but the place we’re joining isn’t a country club and it’s not actually a pool!

You might want a maternity suit sooner rather than later… maternity isn’t just about being “big,” it’s about which part of your body is bigger. I swam regularly throughout my pregnancy and was in a maternity suit for the last four months. And I didn’t gain much weight and my midwife said I was “all baby.” Maternity is made for pregnancy, embrace it!

Love this round up! I’m due in September and I’m also intrigued by Kindred Bravely’s maternity suits- a blue and white stripe in particular 🙂

This may sound strange, but I LOVED my maternity tankini tops. I would wear a regular bottom, but needed the maternity top to stretch over the belly. I felt like the bump took away all the self-consciousness I would usually have in a bathing suit.

Hunza G bathing suits are the best for maternity.. can wear as bump grows, super comfy, and shrink back down so great for postpartum !
