Anyone else finding time flying by? It must be the warm weather and summer being so close I can taste it! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll note that I excluded pictures from our staycation in NYC. It was such a great weekend and I wanted all those photos in one post, so those will be in tomorrow’s post as a standalone!
DIARY No.56
So grateful for warm nights! We all ditched work a little early on a Friday night to have dinner and drinks downtown with Mike’s sisters & goddaughter. Instead of dinner, we ended up just splitting a giant order of nachos, grabbed ice cream cones, and walked back to our house for wine outside. (No wine for me, obviously.) It was such a glorious night– all of us were just remarking on how excited it has us for this summer!!!!
Our brother in law whipped up the most incredible brunch for Mother’s Day. So much French toast– I overindulged and it was worth every bite!!!
If you’re in the area and haven’t been into A. Home lately, definitely recommend swinging by. I try to pop in whenever I’m in Summit and it doesn’t disappoint. So many great gift ideas, home furnishing, and this whole lineup of summer-ready dresses and coverups.
Our baby is already so spoiled by friends and family.
Prepping for baby showers, I wanted to make sure I had all of my thank you notes ready to go. I was looking for sweet but not cheesy, high quality but not overly expensive stationery and landed on these. Instead of a name, I had the customization write “Thank You” instead and I love how they turned out!! (And if I have extra, they can be used for non-baby shower notes as well!)
There’s a new coffee shop in Morristown and Elsa and I met up there recently for a little catch up. Coffee was great and they have a nice menu of cafe sweets and savory items. Definitely adding it to my list of places to work when I need to get out of the house!
I tell her every day, but I’m just so happy that Elsa is back in town!!!!
Last year, I got a campaign with Home Chef for Instagram stories.
It came at the perfect time. That is, I was SICK of trying to think of what to make for dinner. Especially being stuck at home, I just felt like we had fallen into a really repetitive dinner routine and it was getting old. Mike and I are obsessed with the Home Chef meals. Mike likes to cook “off script” and just whips up whatever strikes his fancy whereas I’m much more inclined to cook if I have a recipe to follow.
So I’ve been cooking the Home Chef meals as my dinner contribution and we are just huge fans. Every six weeks or so I get a box comped to create content for sponsored posts, but otherwise, we’re normal paying subscribers. It’s made my life so much easier. (The code “CARLY90FREE” should still be active if you want to try for $90 off.)
I worked on emails on my flight down from Florida, but turning take off and landing when I couldn’t have my laptop out, I did a tiny bit of stitching. I’m going to frame this once it’s finished to hang on the door of the nursery!
I love the different houses around Tampa. I feel like every time I’m down here I spot a new “favorite” house.
Our favorite snack…. popcorn!
Had to share this bathing suit.
I was skeptical…. but it’s absolutely DARLING on. I wanted something with a bit more coverage and this swim dress 100% fits the bill. It’s regular (not maternity), but I went up a few sizes and it totally works. The ruching helps around the bump for sure!
Stacy is away this weekend for her best friend’s wedding, but we got to have dinner together before she had to leave. (And I’ll see her again before I leave for NJ…. she’s coming up to stay with me for the baby shower I’m doing with my friends!) Happy we got to squeeze in some quality time in! (Her dress is from Zara and her bag is Forever 21.)
What a fun roundup of photos!! You sister is looking like your twin! Have the best time in Florida!
