Since I knew we’d be heading out of town for October, I decided it didn’t make sense to decorate our home for fall this year like I usually do. However, it was still very tempting to bring home mums and pumpkins every time I stopped at the grocery store! One of my favorite things about being a homeowner is getting to decorate our front porch (and my little library) for the holidays. So maybe I’ll jump the gun a little bit this year and get out some of our holiday decor a tad earlier this year to make up for it! But before I get ahead of myself, I wanted to share some fall home decor for those of you who are decorating this year.

SOME OF MY FAVORITE FINDS
Nest’s holiday candles are the best!! I think they’re worth it because they burn so well and smell absolutely *perfect* and don’t have an “artificial” scent like others. This pumpkin chai candle sounds incredible if you want to get in the cozy fall spirit.
There is no such thing as too many dish towels. The ones from Williams Sonoma are my favorite because they hold up so well. This set of four also comes in various shades if orange isn’t your thing.
After celebrating my sister in law’s birthday a few weekends ago, I’ve been thinking more about fall tablescapes. Her best friend set up a beautiful tablescape in her backyard that looked like something out of a movie. These woven charger placemats look similar to the ones she used and are only $6. I thought this buffalo check table runner was a cute fall classic, and this set of pumpkin-shaped napkin rings would be a fun touch for a Thanksgiving table.
Cashmere throws are a splurge but so luxurious! The classic color palette of this blanket would make it a wonderful evergreen piece in your home all of winter. Target also has lots of beautiful throws and pillows that are more affordable, like this $30 cable knit throw.
I love the pumpkins and all the little details! So charming!

I’m with you on not wanting to super decorate for fall — our issue is we now live in coastal South Carolina, so mums are fried in a day and pumpkins mold super fast. I’ve invested in some faux pumpkins to tide me over but I’m still tempted to just get some mums and be ok with them dying. We’re also planning on decking our halls for the holidays early this year since we’ll travel to Tennessee for Thanksgiving and Christmas and won’t get as much time to enjoy our own home decorated. I’m here for it!
