I set out to paint Little V and tote for her graduation… and it’s really simple so I thought I share it with you guys on here 🙂
Inspired by t-shirts I’ve been seeing everywhere, I went with a brushed stripe look with a monogram (obviously).
This Tulip SOFT Fabric Paint is great for projects. Unlike other fabric paints, it brushes on flat just like regular paint. Also unlike other fabric paints, it doesn’t get “crunchy.” Do you know what I mean? No cracks, no difficulty bending a dry project.
Michaels carries both the paint and the plain totes that I used. Quite conveniently located in the same aisle.
I traced out a basic outline of where I wanted to paint. I used a plate to make the circle. Using a foam brush, I did light, long stokes on top of one another to create a brushed look.
Last, I used a steady hand to make the monogram!
It was such a fun project to do and Little V loves it. She’s on Nantucket all summer so I thought it’d be perfect for filling up with essentials!

I think you mean where…
Haha. Wear/ Where is happens to everyone!
Great post, I'll try it this summer! Thanks CP 🙂
This is a great idea! Also just in time – I needed a new beach bag! Thanks for posting!
What a great idea! I will definately use this idea the next time I babysit, because those girls love monograms but on a budget!
I love this, it's adorable!
that is adorable-I don't know if my painting talents would allow me to replicate!
Very cute! Great idea.
xoxo.
This is great! I'm making one for my Little Sis for her birthday, and might just have to whip one up for myself!
