I saw little wine glasses with Lilly fabric on ebay a few weeks ago… I thought to myself that it would be relatively easy to make… But what to decorate? Shotglasses… for the over 21ers, of course!
How adorable would these be for a twenty first birthday present???
So I did a little research online and thought long and hard about which process I was going to follow. I took a little bit from here and there and this is the final product!
What you need:
Shot glasses (or wine glasses, or plates, or whatever!)
Mod Podge (I used the Satin Finish in the orange tub)
Sponge paintbrush (they look like a sponge on a stick)
Newspaper
Fabric Scraps
Sewing scissors
Steps:
Lay the newspaper down on a flat table in a well lit room.
Pick out a section of the fabric that you want to glue to the glass.
Carefully cut it out to the size you want.
Dip the sponge end of the brush into the Mod Podge.
Coat the WRONG side of the fabric in the glue first and place and position it against the glass where you want it.
Redip the sponge into the glue and coat the fabric on the glass. Make sure you get the ends very well to prevent fraying.
Repeat 1-6 until you are done with every glass.
Even if the glasses aren’t completely dry, go over them again with one or two coats of the glue.
Allow them to dry for at least three hours.
If you decide you would like a harder finish after they dry, coat them two or three more times.
Voila!
Things to Keep in Mind:
The glasses should only be delicately hand washed. Key word being delicately!
If you want perfect lines, create a template that has a curved in top and bottom so that it wraps evenly around the glass. Practice a few times with paper to make sure it lays correctly.
Only use shot glasses if you’re over 21!
Search places like Bed, Bath, & Beyond for different shapes of glasses… They have great sets that when given as a gift alone are boring, but jazz them up a bit and they’re fabulous!
What an absolutely cool idea which you executed so grandly!!! This is wonderful and easy to accomplish using any individual taste. Thanks…will experiment making for friends faves!!! (notice spelling) Betsy
??? How do you think decoupage would work on glasses using gift wrap etc.??? Might even do college teams…you have opened me up to crafting again…will let you know how my glasses come out!!! Betsy
these are so adorable!! they look so cute all together, you should get one of those shot glass "cabinets" and sand it down and paint it pink and then hang it on your wall with all of the shot glasses!
These are so cute! I love that you made such a large set with a wide variety! You've inspired me to make some of my own, but with my sorority symbols and colors on them! I'll let you know how they turn out by posting about it on my blog!
🎧 Five 5-Star Audiobooks I Listened to This Year ✨

This year, I listened to some incredible audiobooks, but these five stood out as absolute favorites:
📚 A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith: A beautifully written coming-of-age classic. I didn’t want it to end and could absolutely see myself re-listening in a few years.
📚 None of This Is True by Lisa Jewell: A psychological thriller with unreliable narrators that kept me guessing the whole way through.
📚 Such a Bad Influence by Olivia Muenter: Part mystery, part family drama—flawed characters, a gripping storyline, and a chef’s kiss ending.
📚 All the Colors of the Dark by Chris Whitaker: A masterpiece of storytelling that starts as a serial killer mystery and evolves into something much bigger.
📚 Blue Sisters by Coco Mellors: A stunning exploration of sisterhood, grief, and imperfect people. The ending left me in tears (happy ones!).

Plus, the calming scent is perfect for winding down before bedtime. A little prep goes a long way in making bedtime easier for everyone! 🍼💤 Both are available on Amazon
Holding on for dear life this December ❤️ I have had SO MANY conversations this week with my friends near and far and we are *all* struggling. I have to say, just knowing it’s not just me feeling the pressure of “end of year-holiday magic- cold/flu/stomach bug season-darkest days of the year,” has made it a little easier to handle. Don’t forget to take care of yourself, too 😮💨 (Telling myself this because I could use the reminder too!)
If I hadn’t already mailed our Christmas cards*, I would be ordering a reprint because this first photo is IT. ⭐️💂🏻♀️
*Actually only half because for some reason, I didn’t order enough? Our list must have grown over the past year or I just underestimated how many people were on it! I had to order more so the second half will be going out later whoops!!
Traded in my mom jeans for a @jcrew tuxedo this holiday season! Whether you’re dressing up, getting cozy, or picking out a gift for someone special, J. Crew has you covered! #injcrew #sponsored
