LITTLE BLACK DRESS FOR SUMMER

completely forgot I had this dress until a couple of weeks ago. My closet is pretty small and my dresses are mostly hung in the deep section of it…. which can make it hard to see everything that I have. I think because this dress is black and sleeveless, it was extra invisible back there. I bought this last summer and it’s not maternity, but it absolutely works with a bump.

I’ve also been avoiding shorter dresses just because I feel self-conscious about my legs (they’re pale and they’re also starting to get a bit swollen as the heat increases and I enter my third trimester)…. but I have to say that I felt really, really confident in this.

I also haven’t exactly felt “chic” while pregnant. (If you’ve ever seen What To Expect When You’re Expecting, I’m more of Elizabeth Banks’ character… hahaha!) But this dress is 1) so freaking comfortable and 2) legitimately made me feel chic.

It’s just a great all-around closet staple (who doesn’t love a LBD?!), whether or not you’re sporting a bump.

This exact style of tote is sold out, but it is still available in a bunch of different colors and sizes.

Looks great on you! Finding easy dresses to wear (that make me feel good) while pregnant has definitely brought me joy. Have to check this one out!

You look great!! It can be a challenge to feel like yourself getting dressed during that third trimester homestretch, right??

How do you find the fabric of the dress? Reviews seem mixed on the website…

I love the fabric– it’s like a more wearable/casual taffeta. Same “stiffness,” which allows the dress to keep its great shape!
