This was a great, slow-in-the-best-way-possible week and I am grateful for it. I’m hoping for a slow summer pre-baby and this week felt like a little taste of that.
LAST WEEK’S WIN: A couple of my mom’s friends threw me a baby shower down in Tampa and it was so nice! Definitely made things feel “real.” It has also been years since I’ve seen many of them! Definitely something extra emotional about being in a room with all these women that watched me grow up (teachers, my friends’ moms, my mom’s friends)… can’t even really think about it without crying 😜 My best friend’s mom started crying and then I started crying and I pretty much held back tears the entire time.
THIS WEEK’S GOAL: I think I’m going to take a bit of a break from blogging/posting this upcoming weekend. I had planned on taking a break about a month ago and never did. But I think it’s a good time with Memorial Day weekend here.
WEEK OF OUTFITS 5.15.21
TUESDAY
A great Tuesday! Elsa and I got together for coffee in the afternoon and then shot some blog photos together for our blogs. Such a fun afternoon and a great break in the work day (while still being a bit productive, too). A true win/win.

WEDNESDAY
I started the morning with an early morning visit to my chiropractor and then stayed in my workout clothes all day since I was volunteering later that afternoon. I spent most of the day doing computer work, though I did manage to get outside for a tiny bit and enjoy the REALLY hot, summery weather that came through NJ.
THURSDAY
I hit the ground running Thursday morning trying to get a bunch of work loose ends tied up before leaving for the airport. Super easy flight and before I knew it, I was back in Tampa. We did our favorite “shrimp night” for dinner at my parents’ country club… I haven’t done it in years and it was as good as I remembered, ha!
Tote (size large)
FRIDAY
My mom and I spent the day just bopping around. A nice girls’ day. And then we picked up Judy, mom’s best friend from college, from the airport and went out to dinner with my dad!
Dress (it’s a little sheer, more of a coverup… but I wore this comfy slip underneath)
SATURDAY
One of our family friends couldn’t attend the baby shower so she offered to do our hair the morning of, which was so nice and and special to catch up one-on-one. Then we went to the shower and just laid low for the rest of the day.
Dress (sold out, but next drop comes out June 16th!)
SUNDAY
My mom, Judy, and I went out for breakfast and did some fun shopping around town. I spent the rest of the afternoon by the pool reading and soaking up a healthy bit of sun.
MONDAY
I flew home later Monday evening and spent the day mostly relaxing.

Carly! I am LIVING for these dresses – seriously, all of them!
what a nice week! Glad you were celebrated with those who know you best.
How would you say the black tuckernuck dress runs sizewise? Thanks!
It’s swingy so pretty oversized on the bottom but I’d go with your usual size because the shoulders fit TTS!
I love all of your dresses! They look so light and perfect for summer.
