ON MY RADAR 10.6.23

Had such a nice week! It was pretty low-key and that’s just the way I like it! Jack had his first field trip and I got to tag along. I really, really loved the baby days of motherhood (and can’t wait to experience it again next year), but wow it is awesome getting to do real activities with a toddler. Who knew pumpkin patches and tractor rides and a school bus could be so fun?!

Here’s what’s been on my radar this week:

ONE // LAKE Pajamas Holiday 2023 Collection

Not to get ahead of myself here, but the LAKE pajamas holiday collection just dropped and everything looks amazing. I love the illustrated prints for kids and mixing in some festive stripes for mom. I think I’ll end up getting the maternity set for myself (or nightgown if I’m still running hot in the winter….) and the kids set in the ornament print for Jack.

TWO // Boys in the Boat (the Movie!) First Look 

My FAVORITE BOOK OF ALL TIME Boys in the Boat has been adapted into a movie hitting theaters this Christmas. George Clooney is directing (!!) and they just released some behind the scenes photos as a first look. The way I cannot wait for this. I will be there in theaters, for sure.

THREE // Sezane’s James Coat

My friend sent me this coat asking my thoughts and my thoughts were 100% yes. So much so that I’m tempted to get it for myself. I love a classic pea coat and this one is a little more updated. I love the shape and swing of it. Perfect for fall and winter….

FOUR // Sex Education House For Sale!

Have you watched Sex Education on Netflix? It’s such a great show! Otis and Jean’s gorgeous house is for sale in real life giving us a peek into how it actually looks. Spoiler alert: it’s even dreamier than you could imagine. Such a cool, beautiful house with interesting Scandinavian-style details.

FIVE // “The Pandemic Skip”

Another thought provoking article from The Cut. This one is about “the pandemic skip”– that is, the jump everyone made from the pandemic. It brought up interesting questions and made me think about my own pandemic skip experience. (I was 30 when it started, got engaged, then married, and was pregnant before the end of 2020! I feel like I came out of the pandemic a totally different woman.)
