ON MY RADAR

We were originally going to head down the shore to spend Memorial Day weekend with Mike’s fam… but the weather didn’t look great so we’re going to do a fun fam hang up here. While I was looking forward to the beach, I actually think staying close to home is for the best. I’m grateful I don’t have to drive anywhere and can sleep in our bed with my beloved pregnancy pillow and feel 100% comfortable, haha. I got hit with the “nesting” bug this week, so I’ll probably dedicate a bit of time to getting things more ready. With that said, I am going to be taking the next few days off from blogging…. I think I’ll be back Tuesday! Just need to give myself a little space and readership usually dips off during holiday weekends anyway. I will still be posting on Instagram…. probably!

ON MY RADAR 5.28.21

I am almost embarrassed by just how excited I was to receive our stroller in the mail! My parents got it for us and I immediately cracked open the box to assemble it. Just so exciting. All the moms on our street have the Uppababy Vista, too, and I can’t wait to join them for stroller walks when baby is here. (Our block will have three new 2021 babies!)

ONE // Simone Biles’ Yurchenko Double Pike Vault

Watching Simone Biles perform is one of my favorite things. She is just…. incredible. Truly the GOAT!! I love that she competes against herself and constantly raises her own bar. Like what is she going to do next?! I watched her vault from the U.S. Classic from last week on Instagram, but you really need to see it in slow motion to get the full perspective of the skill. 

TWO // PFLAG x J. Crew Factory

J. Crew Factory just launched a collection of pride gear benefiting PFLAG– the first and largest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people, their parents and families, and allies. Now through May 17, 2022, 50% of the purchase price of each item will be donated directly to PFLAG. Loving the rainbow oars!!! 🌈

THREE // Little Free Library on Antarctica

How. Cool. Is. This. I am always on the hunt for Little Free Libraries, whether I’m driving around town or visiting a new place. We even have one in our front yard and it’s such a fun conversation starter when neighbors walk by. Well, there’s officially Little Free Libraries on every continent as a new one just got installed on Antarctica!

FOUR // Real Life Princess Diaries

As many of you may know, Princess Diaries is one of my favorite “feel good movies.” (My sister and I both watch it frequently to fall asleep to haha.) This video popped up on my recommended page on Youtube and I, of course, had to click it! It’s about a woman adopted in the United States who finds out she’s part of a royal family on her biological father’s side. It turned out to be an even more incredible story as her discovery of her roots turns into her life passion. (She’s even talking to Disney about potentially turning her life story into a movie!)

FIVE // Pink and her Daughter Willow Perform at the Billboard Music Awards

I get “Cover Me In Sunshine” stuck in my head every time I hear it playing. It’s so sweet that Pink sings it with her daughter (who is also incredibly talented!). Their performance together at the Billboard Music Awards this year was soooooo good. What a special memory for both of them!
