ON MY RADAR

This week went by so fast. Usually when I have a trip I’m looking forward to, I feel like time inches along so slowly. But it really flew. Mike and I are heading to Nantucket next week for a little babymoon. The house we usually rent had construction going on, so we rented a little cottage in town and I am so excited. We have a few dinner reservations and have a couple of friends in town, too, but otherwise we are both looking forward to a low key week.

ON MY RADAR 6.25.21

Here’s what has been on my radar this week:

ONE // The Idea of You with Anne Hathaway

They are adapting one of my guiltiest pleasure reads The Idea of You as a movie. If you haven’t read it yet…. you should. It’s a fun, steamy read (perfect for a vacation) and you won’t be able to put it down. It’s a little bit like Harry Styles fan fiction! I already can’t wait for the movie!!!

TWO // Stuck on Hue Pillows

File this under things I’ve discovered while nesting. I have become obsessed with finding the perfect pillows for around our house. It started with freshening up the pillows on the daybed in the nursery and then spiraled from there. Now I’m trying to hold back from replacing every pillow in every room. Not really, but the temptation for makeovers here and there throughout the house is definitely real. Stuck on Hue has gorgeous designer fabric pillows available and you can even customize the type of trim.

THREE // Mini Red, White, and Blue Berry Hand Pies

I know I just did a round up of summer desserts, but I knew I had to share this when it popped up in my morning RSS feed. First of all, I’d never say no to any kind of pie. Ever. But mini versions?!?! EVEN BETTER. These would be so fun to serve for the Fourth or drop off on a friend’s porch.

FOUR // Chunky Cardigan Sweater

I was on the hunt for a chunky sweater to wear over dresses for when the sun sets and the nights get a little cooler. I found this one from Amazon and decided to give it a try. It hasn’t arrived yet, so I can’t give my full review but it appears to be a promising under $50 find!

FIVE // Tiered Dress Hack

Spotted this dress tutorial on Instagram and I immediately emailed it to myself to save for the future. Admittedly I’ve been slacking on my sewing. That is, I’ve done nothing recently. But this might just be the project to inspire me to whip my machine back out. It’s a “hack” for a tank top to convert it into a tiered dress and it looks darling.
