I hope you guys had a good week and maybe some fun plans this weekend! We don’t have anything official scheduled and I’m quite looking forward to a quiet weekend at home. It looks like it’ll be another hot weekend so I’m planning on getting a few things done around the house if it’s stormy, but otherwise I want to swim and read outside if possible.

ONE // Business Minded

I have to kick this off by sending out a HUGE thank you. Seriously: thank you, thank you, thank you. I was a little anxious to share the news of my book and felt vulnerable not knowing how it was going to go. But it has been a whirlwind already. I’m so appreciative of every comment, share, and preorder. You are the best!! Preorders are immensely important for book sales! I had a few questions about whether it’s going to be available in Kindle editions and– yes!  I also got word that there’s a good chance there will be an audiobook version too….. so stay tuned 🥰

TWO // Bobbi Brown’s New Makeup Line

Someone DMed me on Instagram saying that the Bobbi Brown had started a new makeup line! I had no idea!! The line, called Jones Road, is fully clean and just about bringing out your natural beauty. That has been my favorite thing about Bobbi Brown’s philosophy from the beginning, so it’s exciting to see her back in the cosmetic game.

THREE // Bunny Strap Dress

This dress popped up in my feed the other day and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. It’s a new-to-me brand and I’m so tempted to try it out… you know, for “research” purposes. 😉 It just looks incredibly comfortable and the “bunny ear” straps are adorable. Oh, and it’s also under $100!!

FOUR // Friday Night Lights on Netflix

Absolutely thrilled that FNL is coming to Netflix on August 1. I think I watched Friday Night Lights back when I was in college…. it’s been so long since I have seen it that I feel like it would be like watching it anew. I cannot wait to start the journey again. After recently finishing New Girl, I’ve been looking for a new show with lots of episodes to really sink my teeth into so this news comes at the perfect time.

FIVE // Maintaining Friendships When You’re In Different Stages of Life

I loved this post about maintaining friendships throughout different stages of life. This has definitely been something that I’ve struggled with in the past– like moving out of the city, moving to new cities, having friends get married, moving to the suburbs, getting married but not having kids, now about to have a baby. I feel like there’s been a lot of changes in my life and the lives of my friends over the past five years or so and some of my friendships have changed as a result. It can be hard to navigate no matter where you are in the life stage equation. This was great tangible advice!
