ON MY RADAR

This week was the first week where I sort of went back to work. It’s a very reduced capacity still and it feels/looks different than what I’m used to, but we’re doing it! Honestly I feel insanely (!!!) grateful that I can work from home with an incredibly flexible schedule. And having Mike home since their office is still closed has been an unbelievable blessing. It made a world of difference having him here for family bonding and being able to tag team throughout the day. Jack has already sat in on a few conference calls 😉

After months of not being in the mood to bake anything, I whipped up a little loaf of banana bread this week. We had overripe bananas and I was inspired. Nothing fancy, but it felt good to bake and our house smelled heavenly all morning!

Here’s what’s been on my radar this week…

ONE // How to Make a Honey Lavender Iced Latte

Ashley and her sister Kyla put together a video on how to make honey lavender iced lattes. Kyla is a trained pastry chef and has a dedicated coffee bar set up in her house– so she knows what she’s talking about here! This looks delicious! I filed it away to save for the next time I have girlfriends over and we want to try something a little fancier.

TWO // New iPhones!

Apple’s latest iPhone, the iPhone 13, was just announced. It’s available for preorder now and will ship out starting next week. I have the Apple upgrade program, where I can turn in my phone every year to get a new one. It’s a loan, so you don’t outright own the phone, but it’s 0% interest and I like having the latest technology. And if you’re more into aesthetics than the tech updates, the 13 Pro comes in a super cute light blue and the regular 13 has a new pink color!! (I ordered the silver 13 Pro in case you were wondering!)

THREE // Maid on Netflix

Netflix just adapted the book Maid to a limited series. When I saw the news, I downloaded the book from my library and thought it was phenomenal. The series looks just as great too. Heart-wrenching and inspiring. Margaret Qualley and Andie MacDowell (real life mother and daughter) star in it. The trailer looks great and I can’t wait to see the whole thing.

FOUR // Under $30 Puff Sleeve Target Dress

Man, Target just keeps knocking it out of the park with their dresses. This burgundy dress is perfect for transitioning from summer to fall. Pockets, a ruffled collar, and functional buttons?! Too cute and affordable at under $30!

FIVE // The Parent Trap Stars Recreate Iconic Scene

Ending this post on a fun note! Elaine Hendrix and Lisa Ann Walter (who play Meredith and Chessy in The Parent Trap) recently recreated the iconic scene with the bell on TikTok. So funny– and spot on after all these years.
