Sole Society is easily one of my favorite brands for shoes. Typically I find that flats are the hardest to break in and end up hurting the most… except for Sole Society. There must be some kind of magic going on where the manufacture them! (It’s borderline embarrassing how often I wear this pair.)
Enter the newest pair of my Sole Society collection… the Ivy. It comes in a traditional black and a blue pair, but I went a little out of my comfort zone for the leopard. Comfortable right out of the box! The best part is that I totally think they’re appropriate year round (weather permitting).
I’ve been really simplifying my outfits recently. The button up and grey sweater combo has been on repeat. On its own, I feel like it’s super boring, maybe not in the worst way, but I don’t feel put together. A tassel necklace and a great pair of shoes can dress it up in an understated way. These Sole Society shoes are the perfect touch.
I have to add a quick note about this peacoat. My mom bought it for me in 2007 before a school trip to Philadelphia. It’s extremely well-loved and one of my favorite coats to pull out every winter because of all the memories!
I love the last photo with your foot pointing off the step – your foot looks so… elegant! Is that weird? I'm a dancer and a ballet teacher, so yes, elegant feet are totally a thing!
I have that exact same coat and I still wear it 7 years later as well! I love how you can buy a coat from J.Crew and never have to worry about buying another one again 🙂
Move over coastal grandmother, it’s going to be a red hot summer for me ❤️💃🏻🔥 I am love-love-loving red lately and I am incorporating the hue more and more into my everyday outfits. It’s a little bolder than I typically go for and, even though I’m three months postpartum, I’m feelin’ it! 👉🏻 Leave a comment saying “red” and I’ll send you the links to my outfits featured in the Reel!
My little roar-bear and I made it through the fourth trimester together 🧸 These past twelve weeks have flown by. I can’t wrap my head around the fact that we only just met- I feel like I have known Rory my whole life.
I have been calling myself a Chill Mom™️ since having Jack and now I’m realizing that I’m even chiller with Rory. (Like is birth order really less about sibling order and more about the version of mom you’re born to?) I’ve been just rolling with Rory’s infancy and I’m so much happier. Maybe it’s just that I’m more tired with a toddler too, or know that it’s going to go by so fast, or just have more confidence… probably a combination. I feel less obsessive and less stressed out by the details. I’m “making it” without having to fake it. As an example, today I noticed I hadn’t tracked a single nap- just watching sleepy cues and trying to get to a “good enough” pattern as Rory’s naps consolidate. Is he following a ~perfect~ nap schedule? No. Are we thriving? Frankly, yes!
(If you want to read my original Chill Mom post, comment “chill mom” and l’ll send it to you via DM!)
We came, we saw elephants, we ate ice cream 🐘🦒🦓 @ashleybrooke and I always talk about how we became FAST friends. Somehow we have been right there with each other during some of life’s worst moments… so it’s extra sweet that we now get to celebrate the good ones! Watching our boys play together, a little baby in a stroller, and another baby on the way… it’s everything we dreamed of.
Somehow yesterday felt like a week, last month was last year, and last year was a decade ago… but then time is simultaneously going by so fast too. The past ten weeks have gone by in a blink! Everyone warns you it goes by fast and they’re not wrong…. The days are long but oh how I wish time would slow down a bit? Or that maybe I could bottle up a tiny bit of these precious boys at every stage so I could revisit them down the road 🤍
