Here are some of the outfits I’ve worn recently as a mom of two young boys (Jack is 3.5 and Rory just turned one.) 👩🏻 🧥 👖 🥿 Lately, I’ve been leaning into outfit formulas that just work. I’m in a season of life where I need to be able to chase after my kids at the playground, get on the floor to build Magnatiles, and still feel like myself when I pass a mirror.
Comfort is non-negotiable... but so is feeling put together. I’m prioritizing jeans that actually fit and move with me, sweaters and tops that go with everything, and comfortable shoes so I can keep up with my boys.
For me, right now, it’s not about being trendy. It’s about feeling good, being present, and making life just a little bit easier.
If you’re in that same stage, juggling a million things and still wanting to look cute, this one’s for you. 🙌🏻 Swipe through for some of my go-to, real-life mom outfits that are comfy, practical, and pulled together... because we all deserve that! If you want links to specific things I’m wearing (like the investment coat I’ve worn for over 10 years, the ballet flats I swear by, or the jeans I rotate through the most), comment “WARDROBE STAPLES” below and I’ll send you my current wardrobe staples!
A wild Saturday night as a mom of two young boys with timestamps! I try to maximize the evenings. A little bit productive and a little bit for me! Tonight I folded laundry, cleaned the playroom, showered and blow dried my hair, prepped sourdough bread, needlepointed, and played some mahjong online!
I turned 35 last summer and, honestly, I’ve never felt more confident in my own skin... even without injectables! I love finding products that enhance my natural beauty without covering it up, and the new Just Enough Tinted Moisturizer from @jonesroadbeauty does exactly that. I used the shade “Ivory”! It’s lightweight, easy to apply (no mirror needed!), and gives me that effortless “your skin but better” look– perfect for busy mom life. 🙌🏻 #ad
Our town just got the sweetest, chicest little bakery! Sourdough everything with a side of immaculate vibes 🤍 🥐 ☕️ 🥖✨ Be back soon @thebakernj!
These April showers better result in the best May flowers we’ve ever seen… ☔️ 🌷 ☀️ in the meantime, comment “BUTTER” and l’ll DM you my outfit 🧈
I’ve been playing mahjong every week with some girlfriends and I brought some candy salad treats for everyone to take home. 🀄️ 🍬🩷 I definitely have a “mahj-or sweet tooth” 😉 (I live for a good pun!!!) I found these watercolor illustrations on @etsy by @lilas.hills and I will be personalizing everything with them from here on out!
The parent trap has always been one of my favorite movies and I met the Hallie Parker to my Annie James!
Serial hobbyist, reporting for duty! 🫡 My roster of hobbies grow by the months… sewing, embroidery, needlepoint, tap dancing, reading, sourdough, mahjong. I can’t help it, I just want to try it all! Who else has the feminine urge to try it all ✨🫶🏻
I like the Steve Madden slippers with the tassels! I'd pair them with a warm cable knit sweater and some chinos or jeans. I think leopard shoes are the only thing with leopard I'll ever wear…haha. Xxx
I think Steve Madden does a good job of making leopard flats SIMPLE!
Target actually has leopard flats for around $15.
Flats and smoking slippers! They're my favorite shoes in my closet right now.

The leopard flats from Target are my all time favorite! So comfortable and cute. And the best part is…when you wear them out and need a new pair…they are only $15!!! LOVE them.
I have a pair of Lucky leopard flats that I LOVE! They're so fun.

I love the sam eldman pair! Those shoes in general are just so comfortable!
I'm in love with the Steve Madden pair! I've had a pair of round-toe calf hair leopoard flats that I got at Nordstrom about 3 years ago, and lately I've been kicking myself for not buying a second pair back then (they seem to get pricier each time they come around!). I actually get more use out of mine than my basic, solid flats–to me, leopard is basically a neutral. I love to wear it with orange, pink, navy, eggplant…I especially like to mix them with a little pattern elsewhere in my outfit, like a blue gingham buttondown!
Yay leopard! I have a pair of calfskin leopard print Tory Burch Revas that I found for $70 at my local Nordstrom Rack, and I wear them at least three times a week.
I loooove those shoes!
I LOVE leopard flats!! I have a cute and simple pair from Target that I wear allll the time. They aren't the best quality…I mean they are from Target. But they are so cute and versatile. I wear them to work with black slacks and a colored shirt. I like to wear them with a plain outfit to spice it up. Outside of work I like to wear them with jeans. In my opinion the best pieces are those you can wear to work, on a casual day off and out on a night out. I LOVE it.
I have a pair of leopard ballet flats that I love to wear. Usually with simple colored outfits- I'm not brave enough to mix patterns! I just bought a leopard dress though, so I'm branching out!
I wan to LOVE the Nordstrom BP pair, but I dislike the heel on the back. I am a huge flat wearer because of the walking I do on campus and to and from my apartment. The heel is a little much for me… but I do think you're right that even if you're not a huge fan of animal print, especially leopard, that you can easily spice up a simple outfit with a pop of print on your shoes! I will continue my search for a pair without a large heel…
Those are all so cute! But I think $50 is way too much to spend on shoes! Maybe it's because I'm still in cheap/poor college student mode… I have my most favorite leopard pair from Marshall's and got them on clearance for $15! I think they were originally $50 from the designer, so I got a sweet deal!

Is $50 being the CHEAPEST pair of shoes really budget friendly?
YES you can certainly find adorable shoes for <$50. My leopard flats are from Old Navy.
I Just bought a patent pair from J.Crew Factory for $50. Normally, I am not all about animal prints, but I love these shoes as an accent pattern! Can't wait to wear them this Fall!

I love the Me Too brand. Leather uppers (although not leather-lined) at a great price – can't beat it. I have the Paige (in black) and the Patty (nude) flats and I love them. The Patty also comes in a leopard print: http://www.endless.com/dp/B005XWS3J0/ref=asc_df_B005XWS3J02179790?tag=googlecom09c9_endless-20&creative=395033&linkCode=asn&creativeASIN=B005XWS3J0
I agree with leopard (or any animal print) in small doses… I thought I was the only one not obsessed with it!! The Target ones are GREAT
Such cute leopard flats you chose! I love every single pair, I'll have to snag myself some the next time I go shopping.
Hi there! My latest leopard find was a pair of suede platforms with a square (high) heel at Target. I got it on sale for 15$. Of course, it goes best with a simple outfit; my favourite choice is all black. I can't wait for the weather to get colder so I could style it!
Love,

I love your leopard picks! Can't believe it's getting cold again…but so excited to be able to wear leopards again!
I just made a post including leopard shoes as well, how ironic! But yes, I LOVE the Steve Maddens. Urban Outfitter's has also come out with chambrap shirt dresses and rompers- I think perfect to pair with tights and boots for the fall!

Would 100% choose the Nordstrom BP pair. Love them!
