SPRING CAPSULE WARDROBE 2024

Today is my due date! I fully intended to keep my foot on the gas until now, but this year so far has been a lot. Losing Hamilton last week was my breaking point and I just…. couldn’t do it anymore. I’ve really just been trying to take it as easy as I can and soak up our last few days as a family of three!! Posting will continue to be sporadic for the forseeable future, but for now, let’s talk spring capsule wardrobes!

It’s ironic to be posting this when I hardly anything I own fits, but it also got me excited to being able to wear my clothes (and shoes) again soon. My personal style inspo from exactly two years ago is still top of mind for me – easy classics you can pretty much mix and match. A spring capsule wardrobe would be a dream, honestly.

Some highlights: a spring dress for women you can “throw on and go” in lightweight chambray, a $35 (!) tote that looks so much more expensive, these Hermes Oran lookalikes, pull-on pants that remind me of Diane Keaton and my postpartum body would love, and a chic navy midi that would also be nursing friendly (this top and my favorite striped cardigan are too). Of course I also had to include my trusty Margaux flats, demi-boot crop jeans, and Celine sunglasses!

Happy Valentines and due date. My second took her sweet time too! So sorry about Hamilton. We had to put our sweet bunny rabbit of 11 years down last week, so I’m right there with you.

Dear Carly,
I am so very sorry for the loss of your dear dog Hamilton. As a pet lover I have also walked that terrible painful path and you have all my sympathy and condolences. May your grief be eased by the upcoming birth of your new baby.❤️❤️❤️

I am so sorry for the loss of your fur baby. We just lost our little girl pup. The pain is acute. Bless you and your little sweet family. Take care.

Hi Carly,
I was so so sorry to hear about Hamilton. In the fall we had to put the older of our family dogs down and it was so hard to watch her be sick and to then be without her. I’m sending you and your whole family love! I hope you remember that Hamilton’s life was clearly full of love and happiness because of you and I hope that can help bring you some peace.

Carly,

I’m very sorry to hear of Hamilton’s passing. How hard…and just at a time when one might hope for more than a bit of tranquility. Jane Austin is always a good idea!

Warmly,

Debra
