I bought my Vineyard Vines Nor’Easter jacket when it was just starting to get cold in DC. I needed a waterproof jacket for crew practices. I had looked at some Patagonia choices, but didn’t find one in the right style or color. The Nor’Easter is perfect for crew. It was made for sailing, I’m assuming….
New Umbrella!
SM and me down at the waterfront for the regatta on Saturday. Note the VB Umbrella, VV Nor’Easter, and LL Bean Boots! Don’t worry everyone! My Green Apple Vera Bradley umbrella has been replaced! Soccer Mom brought it up to DC this weekend. The print is Cupcakes Pink and I just absolutely love it. My…
April Showers
It’s the second day of April, and the second rainy day in a row. My lifesaver for days like these: Vineyard Vines Nor’Easter Jacket. I find myself wearing this nearly everyday. It’s light enough for warm days, but can be layered with fleeces for colder days. The hood makes you look kinda like a duck,…

I have truly fallen head over heels for mahjong. There’s just something about gathering around a table, the satisfying clack of the tiles, the perfect mix of strategy and luck, and the joy of playing with friends. It’s more than just a game... it’s connection, tradition, and a little bit of magic. One of my favorite things in life is sharing hobbies with friends... whether it’s baking sourdough, needlepointing, or now, mahjong. Last week, I hosted a mahjong 101 class for my neighbors and friends who had shown interest in learning how to play. My mom even came up from Tampa for it! @msmahj_nj came over and showed everyone the ropes!! I got such a thrill seeing my friends catch on. By the end of the night, everyone totally got it and we all played a full game. I got four texts that night sharing that they couldn’t fall asleep because they were buzzing with excitement. (That’s always how I feel after I play too!)The more people who play, the more we can play… so consider this your sign to learn!! Do you play? Or is there a hobby you’ve fallen in love with lately?

This is the best my hair has ever been. I do not have Good Hair™️. In fact, for as long as I can remember I’ve been battling my hair in one way or another. As a baby, I was pretty bald. Then I had curly hair and my mom cut bangs (!!!). In elementary school I had a Karen haircut. At the end of middle school I fried my hair when I discovered The Chi and would wake up before 6am to blow dry and straighten my hair. My hair is going grey. My hair doesn’t like any moisture in the air and is unpredictable.
But now at 35, I’m kind of experiencing my best hair yet due to this regimen which I’ve been tweaking and perfecting for the past couple of years. I say all this to acknowledge that I’m never going to be a hair model, but this is REALLY GOOD for me and I’m happy with it.
Comment HAIR and I’ll share the products I’m using!
