This isn’t a full week of outfits. Honestly? I’ve not been in the mood really at all to put on real clothes– especially while I was taking a break from work, I was ALL about being cozy at home. The big outings of the day were mostly walking the dogs so I was either in lounge clothes for couch surfing, workout clothes for the Peloton, or yoga pants and sweatshirts for being outside with the dogs. Truly aspirational stuff here!!!
I considered not even posting this this week, but I actually think it is kind of important to share this kind of stuff. I don’t know, especially during a pandemic and everything, I’m going nowhere and it’s okay to just…. be comfortable.
WEEK OF OUTFITS 1.5.21
WEDNESDAY
I had a volunteer shift scheduled (or so I thought 😆), but I got all the way there and realized it was canceled because of New Year’s Eve (no distribution on the holiday). It was at the very least a good excuse to get out of the house and have a nice long drive by myself– my favorite time to call my mom to catch up or listen to audiobooks.
THURSDAY
My New Year’s Eve best! I actually don’t think I’ve ever gone out on NYE, so it’s not like it was a huge difference for me. Mike and I didn’t even bother making food like we normally do and ordered in burgers and fries instead and watched Netflix. Putting on jeans felt “fancy” enough for me.
FRIDAY
Went for a healthy recharge of a day. We walked the dogs, ate well, worked out. I watched a lot of Bridgerton and got super hooked after hearing rave reviews.
SUNDAY
I didn’t really do much at all on Saturday– we met up with our nieces at a local playground for a tiny bit but otherwise just hung out at home. On Sunday, the forecast called for 100% rain and we somehow ended up with this BEAUTIFUL surprise snowfall. The biggest flakes I’ve ever seen in my life. It looked like we were in an actual snow globe.
Striped Turtleneck (launches today at 10am!!!)
MONDAY
First Monday of the New Year and it was back to work for me. I took off way more time than I had originally planned and it was so worth it, but it did make coming back to reality a bit rougher. I actually put together my to-do list on Sunday night so I’d start the day feeling extra prepared. Wore my favorite jeans and put on a nicer to top to ~feel~ a little bit more put together.
Shirt (c/o)
After seeing you wearing those Ugg boots every week (they look so cosy!) and after seeing some Alaskan vloggers wear Ugg slippers exclusively (it must be so cold there!) I made the splurge and my feet are now extremely happy and warm, I might actually be in love with them. It just goes to show that this year especially we NEED loungewear / walkwear / work from the couch wear outfit pictures! :p
Uggs are the best. I can’t seem to stop wearing them!
Yes!!! I agree – I’m back in the office (cases where I live are very low) but pretty much everyone here has switched to working in the most comfortable stuff we can get away with. I love seeing what everyone else is lounging OR working in these days. Another blog just did a robes round up and it made total sense seeing as so many folks are still working from home! I may never go back to heels…
I think I may need to buy a pair, too!! Every time I see them in these outfit posts I just reallyyy miss my old Uggs lol!
The white top for Monday is so cute!!! I love the lace!

Thanks for sharing! I still love seeing what you wear even if it is a comfier week (that’s how I dress 99% of the time anyway so it’s even more relatable!)
Your week of outfit posts are so fun! I love the second outfit you wore on NYE. It looks so comfortable, and I love the black sweater!

All of the hand clapping emojis for the striped dudley!! They are SO good!!
I’d actually love to see your workout clothes. I’m getting back into working out and my reward for myself at the every month is something stylish to work out in (currently old / mismatched tights and tee-shirts).
