Such a great week of reuniting with friends, spending as much time as possible outside, and just overall soaking up summer.
LAST WEEK’S WIN: I got to see a near final product for a big project and… it was incredible. I rarely do things where I’m not involved in every single step of the way when it comes to work. So it was strange for me to do “my part” and then step back and wait to see how it all came together. I can’t wait to share more (soon!) but in the meantime, I was just really proud to see a lot of work come together.
THIS WEEK’S GOAL: Read. More. I have seriously fallen off the book wagon. I have been listening to a ton of audiobooks, but I can’t seem to keep my eyes open long enough at night to get good reading time in. And the thing is, I like the books I’m reading, I just fall asleep! Maybe I need to start a little earlier. I was also considering waking up 30 minutes earlier so I can read in the morning before I dive into work since I’m much more alert first thing in the morning. We’ll see…
WEEK OF OUTFITS 6.22.21
TUESDAY
Spent the day working; it was a pretty standard day at home. The exciting part of the day was going into Brooklyn to celebrate Meghan’s birthday! It was a picture perfect evening…. 75 degrees, no humidity, beautiful sunset. We met in a park for pizza and birthday cake and it was just so lovely.
WEDNESDAY
I had an early morning appointment and it was such a gorgeous day that Mike and I camped outside on our patio for work. I spent all day working on a project and it felt great to sit out there in a sweatshirt with a blanket on my lap and everything. Then I volunteered for a few hours in the evening, too.
THURSDAY
I had plans to get dressed, I swear. BUT our contractor was able to do the wainscoting in the nursery early! Luckily the room was ready to go and I cleared my schedule so I could be home while it happened. It looks amazing…. and gets painted this week! I can’t wait!!!
FRIDAY
Mike and I worked in the morning and then hopped in the car to go visit our friends Maddie and Ryan. They moved out of NJ to PA and we have missed them SO MUCH during covid! We got to see their new house and just hang.
SATURDAY
The guys golfed during the day and Maddie and I did a ton of shopping. We had so much fun. It rained in the evening, but the guys grilled our dinner and we sat at the table talking for a few hours… and then moved onto the porch for a couple more hours. (Have I mentioned how much we missed them???)
SUNDAY
We hit the road early so we could make it back to NJ to help Mike’s parents at their house. It was hot and we were really working so the workout clothes fit the bill.
What’s. Fun and productive week! I love how effortless the dresses look! Beautiful!

I think one day you will look back and these week of outfits posts may be your absolute favorite to read again – I love how it is almost like a “line a day” journal of the little things in life that seem typical now but will one day be a little glimpse of life as it was before kids!
Loving all these summer sundresses ♥️ Also this is definitely my favorite series, not sure why but I love the looks every time!
I’ve been reading first thing in the morning since quarantine began (wfh now so no commute for the time being), and I love it!
You are absolutely glowing, Carly!
