All of last week’s outfits are from our trip to Nantucket. It was a perfect trip and in true Nantucket fashion, we got a little bit of everything weather wise. Each day was a little different: hot and humid, hot and windy, chilly and drizzly, rainy and breezy… You definitely have to pack for a range of weather.
LAST WEEK’S WIN: The whole vacation was perfect and just what we needed!!!! Mike and I fully relaxed and had the best time together. (We both couldn’t stop dreaming about what life is going to look like by the end of the summer!)
THIS WEEK’S GOAL: I have a list of projects I need to focus my energy on. The biggest, hardest task is going to be tackling organizing our basement. To put it simply, it’s out of control. It was great…. until our wedding. And then I shoved everything down there before the wedding, plus our wedding registry items ended up getting stored down there… and now all the baby things. It’s bad and needs some immediate attention!
WEEK OF OUTFITS 7.6.21
Here are my outfits for the week. I will say, most of the days I spent wearing workout clothes for chilly morning walks and then bathing suits by the beach… but here were the “real” outfits I put on to hang out and go out to dinner!
TUESDAY
Mike and I picked up sandwiches and went to the beach for most of the day. Felt so nice getting to just sit by the water, read, and literally do nothing and think about nothing. We eventually headed back to the cottage to get ready for dinner and turned in pretty early.
WEDNESDAY
We started the day super, super early to take some photos. We were done and back at the house by 8:30, which was perfect because it gave Mike time to still get a round of golf in. I went to a coffee shop to work for a few hours because I had a deadline for the end of the day I couldn’t miss. We got lunch at Cisco Brewers and then went straight to the beach for the rest of the afternoon before dinner in town.
THURSDAY
Mike golfed again and I headed to ‘Sconset to take photos and hang out with Mackenzie! It was so fun walking around, taking in all the blooming flowers, and I got to meet her little boys for the first time. Can’t wait for my own little guy to join the fun. And then it was back to the beach for Mike and me (we really, really enjoyed our time relaxing!).
FRIDAY
This was the day that the weather started to turn. It was very grey and drizzly and chilly, but honestly I think Nantucket looks best when she’s in full “Grey Lady” mode! The weather didn’t stop us from having a great day! Mike and I went to the Galley for dinner, which is usually a great way to watch the sun set… but it ended up being a cozy, romantic dinner under a tent. Different than the usual Galley experience, but still fantastic!
SATURDAY
Another grey, rainy, and chilly day. I spent the morning with Victoria (Little V if you’ve been reading here for a while!) and her family at their house. Her brother, sister in law, and I took the dogs and V’s new nephew out for a beautiful little walk. And then a bunch of Mike’s college buddies and their wives/girlfriends arrived and we spent the afternoon and evening together and just hanging out.

SUNDAY
I went for a long walk around town in the morning. Then we all eventually ended up at the beach again. It was way chillier and it definitely felt like it was going to rain the whole time, but it held off until the evening! It started to downpour right as we were heading back their house to grill dinner, so it was perfect timing!!

MONDAY
I have no picture of my outfit yesterday because I spent most of the day in the car. As expected, the traffic getting back home was horrendous and my pregnant body was not feeling the hours and hours of driving. My feet were so swollen by the time I pulled into the driveway! But if you’re curious… I wore leggings and my go-to work out top.
I love your outfit posts! So glad you had such an great time!!

Oh Carly! These photos are just the most peaceful and happiest looking you’ve been, since well of course your wedding. Pregnancy definitely suits you so well, so happy and excited for y’all!
Good luck with the basement!! I’m also in purging/ organizing mode with a baby on the way so I would love to see a before/during/after post on your process & pics!!
I feel like all your vacation/pregnancy photos have such a perfect dreamy quality that’ll be so cool for when your son looks back on them in the future. Such cool parent vibes!
