WINTER NEUTRALS

I’ve been experiencing a case of the “winter blahs.” Besides getting out with the dogs and taking them for extra long walks during the warmest part of the day, putting on cute outfits really helps lift my mood. I think it’s a bit of a mental trick because we have nowhere to go and nowhere to be, so it can feel useless getting dressed. But it does make a difference, at least for me.

I’m not against wearing white jeans during the winter (I consider them a year round staple!), but I just haven’t even thought of pulling them out this season. I was scrolling through Pinterest, as I tend to do when I need a boost of inspiration of any kind, and found a bunch of pictures of women wearing winter neutrals. It totally inspired me to put together this look.

The best part is how comfortable it is. These white jeans are *so good*. I bought them a few years ago looking for something that wasn’t a skinny jean. I love the button fly and the straight cut is super cute with flats and sneakers. They also have the perfect amount of stretch– highly recommend.

And these v-neck boyfriend sweaters are worth every penny. I have the style in a handful of colors and just love the fit. So comfortable and cozy. Perfect for working for home.

Oooh, hands down the best outfit I’ve seen you in all winter! Just SPOT ON! (not that you look bad otherwise, just LOVED this)

I’ve found that it’s best to size up one in white jeans. I bought this pant in a size 29 when I’m regularly a 28 in jcrew. It’s a little gappy in the back but more forgiving elsewhere if you’re aren’t rail thin in the thigh region.

I love seeing women in brighter colors. Pink, light blue, white. Anything but blacks and dark blues. Tell me about the lamp — I love it!

I get so envious anytime I see someone pulling off white jeans (which you are totally doing, they look great!)… I am so sloppy with my coffee (and any other drink, food, paint, pen, etc in my vicinity) that I could never wear them!
