LAKE PAJAMAS SALE

I’ve been a fan of Lake Pajamas for years and years (five years strong now!). I’m a pajama fiend and just love a good set of PJs…. the Lake Pajamas tops my list of favorites. The pima cotton is absolutely dreamy and it’s worth every penny, even full price. BUT, right now they’re having their big summer sale, so now’s a great time to invest in a pair (or try them out for the first time).

Reposting my answers FAQ about Lake here:

ARE LAKE PAJAMAS WORTH IT?

To me, yes. I love fancy pajamas and always go to bed at night wearing a matching set of pajamas. They are incredibly, incredibly soft. The pima cotton makes it worth it to me. I am usually freezing cold when I go to bed and then get super hot while sleeping and then cold again in the morning and I am most comfortable in the pima cotton throughout the night.

ARE THEY FLATTERING?

So… I’m going to be honest. They are cute, but I wouldn’t say they’re the sexiest pajamas you’re going to wear. I wish the neckline wasn’t as much of a scoop (I think a crewneck would be more flattering), but this does not stop me from wearing them night after night.

WHAT SIZE SHOULD I GET?

I always buy a size up from my usual size. I’d get an XS in pajamas from J. Crew and I buy Small from Lake Pajamas as a reference. They’re not super fitting to begin with so you can get away with a bigger size and then you don’t have to worry about them shrinking or being too small.

(Adding: I sized up another size to a medium for most of my pregnancy.)

HOW DO YOU WASH THEM?

I throw them into the wash with hot water and dry on full blast. I’ve never had a problem! One time a hot pink sports bra turned a section of my pants a little pink, but I soaked with some OxyClean and it came right out. I’m not a fan of having to baby my clothing, though if you have the time to line dry, it’s probably better for the integrity of the clothing. They remain as soft as comfy as the first day I bought them!

WHAT STYLE SHOULD I BUY?

I think in order of preference: long/long, long/short, and then short/short. Recently, while pregnant, I’ve become obsessed with their maternity nightgown (which is also available in non-maternity) so much so that I wash it almost every day just because it’s my favorite to sleep in!

Need your help before my first ever order! The website says they shrink….about how much do they shrink….a half an inch, inch, etc? Is shrinkage all over, or in length or width? Are sizes done to account for shrinkage after first wash….so, a medium will still fit as a true to size medium after first wash?
Also, what’s the difference between the Pima nightgown and the weekend style nightgowns?
Thanks in advance for your help! Looking forward to placing my order! 😘

I’m not sure the exact dimensions but definitely go up at least a size. As I mention, it’s a forgiving cut so it’s okay if they’re a little bigger. And both have Pima, it’s just a different cut/style

You got me hooked last Fall! This is my new obsession. Being a new & stay-at-home-mom these pajamas help me feel much more put together than I look during the day. It’s so satisfying getting babe into bed for the night and slipping into my PJs. Having matching sets is one less decision to make everyday! Soooooo worth it! Thank you <3
