PHEW! We made it to the end of the week and we made it to February. This week was an absolute doozy. We had multiple trips to the hospital in our family and it was just…. it was a lot. I’ve slowed down a lot, but I’m also finding bits of work the good kind of distraction right now. I don’t have an exact plan for what my “maternity leave” is going to look like so thanks for bearing with me as I figure it all out. My plan right now is no plan and I’ll just play it by ear and follow my body’s lead before/during/after.
Here’s what has been on my radar this week:
ONE // Emma Watson Makes an Espresso Martini
Who doesn’t love Emma Watson?? This is such a fun video she did with British Vogue making cocktails with fun “Emma twists.” I especially want to try that espresso martini! I only had one for the first time last February and I can’t wait to have another again after I have the baby. Also, taking her Prada heel off to smash the ice was quite iconic.
TWO // NEW Margaux Demi Janes
Margaux keeps raising their own bar. How adorable are these “Demi Janes”?! I’m loving the style lately as a little twist on my go-to ballet flats. The bronze nappa color is really calling my name as a a subtle metallic.
THREE // Big Dumb Cups
I was cracking up through this entire SNL skit about Stanley Cups. You know I love my Stanley tumbler and this skit is just hysterical. I think you’ll get a kick out of it whether you’re a lover or a hater of the Stanley cup.
FOUR // Demi Boot Crop Sweater Pants
As always, I’m drooling over J. Crew’s new arrivals. I will absolutely be scooping up a few things, namely the demi boot crop sweater pants. We, unfortunately, have more months of winter ahead of us so I think these sweater pants will be the best of all worlds with comfort, warmth, and style!
FIVE // NYPL Book Train!
Loved this little behind the scenes peek at a book train that transports books between different departments! It’s right out of a storybook. Actually someone should definitely write a children’s book about this little book train and the adventures the books go on after hours?!
The SNL skit was hilarious! Have a great weekend!

I agree. The book train is out of a storybook and feels magical!
