The Coat Guide

When I went to Georgetown, I did not have the proper coats. I thought I did, but it wasn’t until I was living in NYC and wearing coats that actually kept me warm that I realized I had been doing it all wrong. When you go from Florida to the “north” (I know DC isn’t technically…

Art of Being Female

I’m still good friends with my first blog manager. Actually, I’m kind of obsessed with her. She’s the epitome of chic and has the cutest kids in the entire world. (This is her daughter’s first birthday party. #goals.) Even though we don’t work together anymore, Alatheia played a crucial part in my blogging career. She was…

A Touch of Leopard

You guys know me (particularly my style) pretty well, and I think it’s safe to say that I love to feel comfortable, which often translates to casual. Give me a pair of jeans and a cozy sweater, and I’m one happy lady.

Despite that, and even though I work from home, I think one of my favorite closet staples is a pair of black pants. They’re not the most fun thing to purchase, but when an event or meeting pops up, I’m always glad I have a pair ready to go. My beloved J. Crew Minnie pants have seen better days, and since they retired the style, I’ve branched out to their Cameron Pant. I didn’t think I could love a pant more than the Minnie, but wow these are GOOD. They hug in the right places, lay perfectly in others, and have just enough stretch for a comfortable fit.

On My Radar

This whole week has been a blur. I have been feeling pretty out of sorts and just not completely myself. I don’t know if it’s jet lag or what. I also had pretty low blood pressure yesterday morning, and that certainly wasn’t helping. Hopefully, a mostly offline weekend will do the trick. Fingers are crossed….

Puppies on the Beach

Remember how I said it’s the best time of the year? It really and truly is. I’ve been trying to squeeze in trips to the dog park at least every other day (going first thing in the morning is my new jam). On the weekends though, I’ve been taking the pups to the beach as often as I can. They LOVE it, and I don’t even care if my car is coated in two inches of sand. (Seriously, sand is in every nook and cranny of my car right now.)

Packing Better

Every year I find myself traveling more and more. In college, I did a lot of back and forths between DC and NYC, and when I was working, I didn’t have the time or money for many trips. Now it feels like I have a trip planned at least every month. I’m so grateful to…

Snapshots from San Francisco

I just got back from San Francisco on Sunday after spending a few days there for a wedding. There were a bunch of wedding festivities to attend, but there was still plenty of time to explore and play tourist. SF is such a fun city to visit as a tourist because there is so much going…
