My love for Serena & Lily runs deep. Almost every single room in our home has something from Serena & Lily. I love their approach to relaxed and comfortable home decor. I always love knowing that when I purchase something, I’m getting high quality products with great design that’s functional without being overly stuffy.
I’m partnering with S&L on today’s post, sharing some of my favorite pieces! We’ve been in our home now for almost two years, and I’ve had all of these items for at least a year and they remain favorites as time has gone by.
SOME FAVORITES FROM SERENA AND LILY
I dream of the day where we have lots of land to work with, but our backyard fits our needs right now perfectly. Especially over the past year, I’ve never been so grateful to have a little bit of green space to call our own. It became an oasis for us and Mike and I (and the pups, of course) spent many, many hours outside. Definitely more than we would have had life been normal. With no trips and nowhere to go, we used our backyard to transport us!
Serena and Lily’s outdoor collection is so darling and it’s hard to pick favorites. Last year we got these gingham sling chairs and matching umbrella. The umbrella is great for the beach and can be inserted directly into the sand. Plus there’s an adjustable joint so you can ensure you get the angle of the umbrella just right for the sun. (Major key when you’re on the beach!)
The chairs are so comfortable and I love that you can also buy a matching camp stool so you can really kick up your feet and relax. If you want something with a little more structure, there is a folding chair version available in the same gingham print. The folding chair also has straps so you can easily wear it as a backpack and walk down to the beach with it!
Of all the spaces in our house, the kitchen and family room (it’s one open space) is where we spend the most time. Our only television is in the family room, so that ends up being a big draw for us. There have been many cozy movie nights and weekend afternoons watching sports spent in here!
You can see that our television is behind the chairs, so I was specifically looking for swivel chairs that matched our aesthetic and were comfortable. I had been on the hunt for a bit trying to find the right size and style. These swivel chairs from Serena and Lily were a bit of a splurge, but totally worth it because they complete the space for both function and beauty. The chairs are great for chatting with friends on the couch and swiveling around to watch television together. They’re also super, super comfortable. Great for watching movies or curling up with a book.
I had ordered a few samples and went with the Perennials Basketweave fabric in navy.
Our coffee table is also one of my favorite things from Serena & Lily and it was one of the first items I purchased when we moved into our house. I absolutely love the rattan style and it has held up beautifully over the past two years. I was worried about the nooks and crannies of the rattan being hard to clean. But use our handheld vacuum for any dust and then the rattan easily wipes clean with a cloth. I love being able to style coffee table books underneath which leaves the top clutter free.
The very first thing I bought when we moved into our home. I had lusted over them for years, but never had a kitchen space that warranted them, so when we bought our house, I knew our island was just calling for a set.
Serena & Lily carry a range of bar and counter stools (and even kitchen chairs if you don’t have a countertop). I had a hard time choosing which style to go with, but ultimately decided on the Riveria (which I think is the most popular style) in the sunwashed natural colorway. (They also come in a swivel version too!)
With coated, durable rattan mixed with a classic shape, the bar stools are a fresh take on casual dining. I get a lot of questions about how they’ve held up over the years, and I am happy to report that we have zero complaints. The chairs have gotten a lot of use over the years– especially this past year. Mike and I are both working from home and at least one of us is always working from the island. They’ve stood up to spaghetti nights with our nieces, red wine spills, and coffee tumbles. They wipe clean beautifully.
Thank you Serena and Lily for partnering on this post!
