This round up is pretty much the same ole, same ole. I know it’s a little boring, but this is just what I’m really wearing. I definitely feel better when I get dressed… but we also got buried with snow multiple times this past week and I still have nothing to do and nowhere to go!
WEEK OF OUTFITS 2.9.21
LAST WEEK’S WIN: Despite last week being pretty tough mentally– that pandemic wall is real– I still had some nice things during the week that were highlights. The most important one was definitely restarting therapy! I think I had gotten to the point where a lot of stuff felt super out of my control and I was just along for the ride with no say in what was happening. It felt good to kind of get back in the driver’s seat so to speak, even if it was just scheduling time to talk to a professional once a week.
THIS WEEK’S GOAL: My goal for last week was to get my office organized and I made it happen. Hallelujah– it needed it. This week I’m going to take one more step further here and get all of my tax documents scanned and sent to my accountants. It’s one of the more annoying parts about working for yourself: so. many. tax. forms. I’m pretty sure most of the forms are already here or were sent last week so they’ll be here soon. (And if I’m missing any, I’ll have to go hunting them down ha!) It should be pretty straight forward to get everything uploaded though and then I can cross that task off my list!
TUESDAY
We were still pretty snowed in on Tuesday. The bulk of the snowstorm swept through on Monday, but I couldn’t believe how much snow was still coming down on Tuesday. Our backyard turned into an actual snow globe!
WEDNESDAY
I volunteered Wednesday afternoon, which is always the highlight of my week. I know I’m a broken record but I am so, so glad I signed up for this last winter.
THURSDAY
It was a typical work from home day, but I was giddy with excitement because I picked up our Eleven Madison Park “At Home” dinner. It was fantastic!!! The whole experience was great– the pick up (couldn’t be easier), the presentation, the preparations (also super easy), and the FOOD. Everything tasted great and it felt like an absolute treat.
FRIDAY
MORE SNOW! I couldn’t believe it. I took it as an excuse to get extra cozy while working from home. Didn’t bother with anything beyond a sweatshirt and leggings.
SATURDAY
I did not do much on Saturday. I had plans to bake cookies, but I wasn’t in the mood for all the work. And I kept saying I was going to start in an hour, okay one more hour… and then the day was gone. I did do one great workout, which I desperately needed to do and that felt like an accomplishment enough!
SUNDAY
I had to do some work on Sunday, but I did it from bed with a cup of coffee. We did have the Super Bowl on and I went into it kind of excited because the Bucs were playing in Tampa… but even when I’m excited I still don’t love football. I couldn’t even pretend to be enthusiastic and checked out before the halftime show even finished. (I did LOVE that Amanda Gorman recited a poem though– I was cheering for that!)
MONDAY
I woke up in a GOOD mood. Just ready to start the day. I got somewhat caught up on emails, finalized some prep for a fun collaboration I’m launching next week, and got in a workout all before noon. Then it was regular work all afternoon into evening. There is nothing better than a productive Monday!!
I love seeing all the leggings+sweatshirts and jeans+knitwear combos 🙂
These are some of my favorite posts! Thanks so much for doing them!

I absolutely love seeing all the ways you make comfy outfits look put together!! Have you found any sweaters similar to the Jenni Kayne one, but more affordable? I’d love to invest in one eventually but as a recent college grad it’s not quite on the list yet, haha!
A lot of us are just “over it”. The news, etc. etc. While I love it when it snows, I’m ready for spring and being outside. How many more weeks til sunshine and warmth?? Can’t wait to see you start styling spring. Is anyone giving up or starting something new for Lent?? Maybe there should be some sort of competition?
I love that second to last outfit! All of your sweaters look so comfortable.

I love these! I feel like other influencers are fully dressed everyday and it makes me feel kinda bad for wearing leggings and a sweater everyday. I love that you keep it real and that sometimes you just aren’t in the mood.
I love your outfits and how you make wearing casual clothing look very appealing. I love getting fixed up even if it is in sweatpants and sweatshirt. It is all about finding that balance rn. Love your content and purely classic and preppy style. Very inspirational. Keep up the good work!
Your slippers are so cute! It’s awesome that you got so much snow – makes being at home so much cosier and nicer.
Have a wonderful new week Carly!

If you’re looking for something to do, there’s a couple of places in NJ where you can rent x-country skis or snowshoes! Or you can try a company like Gear to Go, which will ship you rental gear.
Will you do a post on the Eleven Madison Park meal?
Yes! Will be included in Saturday’s “Diary” post!
Very lovely!
The JCrew white and blue striped sweater is just beautiful. 💙
