Over the years, I’ve been slowly adding to my coat closet with certain “staples.” I mostly grew up in Florida where coats were a completely foreign concept. I still get excited– maybe a bit too excited– when it comes to new coats. It’s actually a problem. I know I said I was going to go…
Feeling Lost? 4 Quick Actions to Help Find Your Way
It’s so funny– when I read the title of the Google Doc Maxie shared with me, I thought, “Max and I have so been there together.” We always end up turning to each other when we feel lost. Two times a year (each), max, but it happens. And then we hash it out together. Maxie’s tips…
A Giant Pop-Tart
Garrett’s birthday was yesterday, but we didn’t have time to celebrate on the actual day (he worked all day and went out of town at night). Last year I made a ridiculously good chocolate cake, so I had set the bar kind of high for myself. I saw this recipe on Pinterest and knew it was…
Fall Favorites
I did a similar post to this last year for winter outfits. To be completely honest, I referenced it so much throughout the colder months. If there was a day when I felt uninspired getting dressed, I’d revisit the post. Fall is one of my favorite seasons for outfits, but I still thought it would be…
On My Radar
Despite feeling ridiculously sick and fatigued this week (thank you seasonal allergies), I squeezed in some fun. Like meeting Renée Zellweger. Let me tell you; she is the sweetest person. I was blown away by how beautiful and genuine she was. I saw Bridget Jones’s Baby last week in preparation for the interview and LOVED it. It comes…
Transitional Outfits for Pre-Fall
I hope I’m not the only one struggling to figure out what to wear right now. In between seasons is so hard. I’ve been trying (as best I can) to straddle the lines of summer and fall when it comes to what I’m wearing.
Over the next few days, I’m going to be switching my closet over from warm to cold weather. I know that we will have some hot days to come, but I just don’t feel right wearing my summer dresses anymore. So, I’ve put together four outfits to inspire me as I get dressed in the mornings. (Plus we have a late September Nantucket trip planned and I think this is going to be my packing aesthetic.) I hope you find it helpful as well!
Glossier
I’ve so jumped aboard the Glossier bandwagon. I wanted to believe that it was all hype, but, alas, it is not. I’m reporting back here today to let you know that I’m straight up obsessed. I received my first order about two weeks ago and I’m already plotting to see what products to pick up next.
Polo Match in Greenwich
On Sunday, I was invited to attend the East Coast Open with Town and Country. I took over their Instagram story for the day and had such a fun time catching up with friends, meeting new people, and watching a little polo.
The heatwave we’ve been having finally broke overnight Saturday. Eighty degrees is still quite warm, but compared to the nighty-plus we’ve been having it felt amazing! And, a warm, post-Labor Day event was hard to dress for. I’m all for white jeans after Labor Day, but can’t really get behind white shoes or white dresses so that was crossed off the list. Lilly dresses felt a little too beachy. When I saw this skirt while shopping with my mom, my vision really started to come together though.
