I didn’t read as much as I would have liked this summer. Scratch that: I’m not reading as much as I’d like to, period. But for good reasons. Most of the time, by the time I get to bed, I can only read a few pages before my eyes get heavy.
So while the quantity isn’t that high, the quality was. With the exception of two of these books, I’d highly recommend them all:
Another week, another On My Radar post. Some fun stuff this week: – I took my first tennis lesson and loved it. I’m really excited to spruce up my skills. (I need it.) – Next week I’m going to a press event with Renée Zellweger next week and was invited to see the new Bridget Jones’s Baby in preparation….
Guys… I actually signed up for tennis lessons. I was inspired after going to the US Open last week. I found an instructor and had my first (two-hour 😱) lesson on Monday. I was so sore the next day! I took tennis lessons with my sister in elementary school, but it’s been years since I picked up a tennis racket. More than 15 years…
I wanted to share two recent outfits I wore for my birthday. I’m going to try to be better about including more “everyday” looks here. All of my outfit posts are things I actually wear (no costumes here!), but I typically don’t shoot my plain, everyday-y outfits.
My mom was in town, but she was leaving the afternoon of my birthday so we did a dinner the night before. It was so nice to have her here, birthday or not. Gar and I took her to our favorite Italian restaurant in Greenwich– we love sitting outside and are trying to squeeze in as much al fresco dining as we can before it gets too cold!
I picked up this peplum top and I love it. Peplum is hard for me to pull off (larger chest, smaller waist), but I went for it anyway. Although I’m not sure it’s the most flattering top in the world on me, it’s so comfortable and easy to wear. I think it will be really cute when it cools off layered with a field jacket. For now, I did the J. Crew Sleeve Roll and paired it with my new (ripped 😱) jeans.
I waited until after Labor Day for this post, and I don’t want you to think I am sounding the alarm or anything, but… if you want a pair of Bean Boots for this fall or winter, now is the time to get one. Don’t wait. In a couple of weeks, people are going to start to realize the temps are dropping, and everyone will make a mad dash for LL Bean! And that’s when the back orders start.
Here’s a super quick guide to what Bean Boots you should get:
The other day Maxie and I had a very long-overdue chat on Skype. We hadn’t properly caught up for a while, and we only hung up two hours later when I desperately needed to get something to eat. After we Skyped, I felt like a million bucks. I felt like my heart had inflated at least two…
I put together three different fall outfits that are perfect for transitioning into fall weather. I have a casual one, a dressier one, and one that’s somewhere in between. They’re all featuring DSW’s exclusive brand Mix No. 6. I picked three pairs that fit my style, but there is really something for everyone. I’m sending my sister these peep toe booties, I know she will love them. The prices are so good too; it’ll be hard to say no to a pair (or two).
Vecciano Chelsea Boot (c/o)// I don’t think you can consider it fall without a great bootie. The heel is great because you get some height but they’re still so easy to walk in. Just throwing it out there, but they also come in a gorgeous navy!!!
I wore the booties with a skirt, but they’d look so cute with cropped skinny jeans, too.
So many good Labor Day sales right now! Great summer pieces to tuck away for next year and amazing fall pieces to get in time for the first crisp day. Happy shopping! The off the shoulder top I featured last week is 40% off right now and my clutch is also 15% off with FallRS at checkout….
This week was AWESOME. Just so much fun from the very beginning. The fun kicked off with a trip to the US Open. I have never been, and when Chase reached out with an invite, I said “yes!” as fast as I could. After having so much fun, I’m kicking myself for taking four years…

If your goals for 2025 include reading more and having better habits, @audible audiobooks are about to be your best friend! I love listening to audiobooks, especially when they help me become a better person, wife, friend, mom, etc. January is the perfect time to dive into one and cross two of your goals off at once. I’m listening to Mel Robbins’ Let Them Theory and it’s blowing my mind– “let them” is such a simple phrase and yet the impact is POWERFUL. Can we bring this kind of outfit of the day video over to this app 👀 tell me if you like it or hate it- in light of everything, trying to experiment! If you want links to what I’m wearing, leave a comment with “OUTFIT” and I’ll send it over!
Sorry for the jump scare… but go ahead and add “great at multitasking” to my resume 😆 is it habit stacking or just survival mode? Every morning, I’ve been doing a red light session with my @omniluxled face mask, while listening to an audiobook, and I spend the 10 minutes tidying up. I make the beds, put laundry away, straighten up the boys’ toys… I always feel on top of the world and like I can do anything 😆
I’ve been hesitant to add new skincare products to my daily routine because I don’t want to disrupt my healthy skin… I tested @oakessentials skincare line though and it’s now a staple in my weekly routine. I’m using these three 2-3x a week (the night before hair wash days!) and my skin is SO moisturized and hydrated!!
