Twenty Six

This is the first year where I’ve been had a hard time remembering my birthday. I obviously know the date of my birthday, but I keep forgetting it’s here! My birthday, September 1, always feels like the end of summer. As a kid, I used to remind myself to not look forward to it since it…

Things I’ve Learned About Myself

I’ve mentioned on here before that I’ve been working to rewrite the stories I have written about myself in my head. I’m a firm believer that (generally speaking) what you think/believe becomes your reality. Obviously, there are exceptions to that, but if you think you’re going to have a bad day, it’s going to be a…

Two Recent Outfits

I wanted to share two recent outfits I wore for my birthday. I’m going to try to be better about including more “everyday” looks here. All of my outfit posts are things I actually wear (no costumes here!), but I typically don’t shoot my plain, everyday-y outfits.

My mom was in town, but she was leaving the afternoon of my birthday so we did a dinner the night before. It was so nice to have her here, birthday or not. Gar and I took her to our favorite Italian restaurant in Greenwich– we love sitting outside and are trying to squeeze in as much al fresco dining as we can before it gets too cold!

I picked up this peplum top and I love it. Peplum is hard for me to pull off (larger chest, smaller waist), but I went for it anyway. Although I’m not sure it’s the most flattering top in the world on me, it’s so comfortable and easy to wear. I think it will be really cute when it cools off layered with a field jacket. For now, I did the J. Crew Sleeve Roll and paired it with my new (ripped 😱) jeans.

Here we go: From Left to Right: The Silver Bangle: My grandparents gave me this for my 18th Birthday/High School Graduation and engraved my full name and graduation date on…

Charity Water Birthday Pledge

Charity Water is a really wonderful organization that provides clean drinking water for communities around the world where that would otherwise be impossible. (You can read more about Charity Water here.) What I really love about Charity Water is its transparency of what they do with donations. You can track which water projects were funded by…

Birthday Wishes!

Thank you so much to everyone who reached out on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Email, and commenting. You all are the best. It definitely made my birthday that much more fun! I spent most of the day walking around the Upper East Side (despite the most horrible humidity) and getting a few (but only a few) things…

10 THINGS Vol. 13

It’s time for another “ten things” post. I stole this idea from my friend Kelly– but it’s basically just an old school blog post where I share the first ten things that come to mind… Ready, set, go! ONE // A Movie Era Years ago, I was obsessed with going to the movies. I had that MoviePass…

Giveaway :: Jack Rogers

Okay, so I know that I shouldn’t play favorites… but, I mean, it’s really hard not to when the giveaway is with Jack Rogers! The brand is a serious favorite of mine (I begged my mom to let me get a pair when I was in high school) and I absolutely love working with the entire…
