WEEK OF OUTFITS 2.15.22

It was nice to be snow birds for a few days down in Florida! It actually wasn’t all that warm for most of our trip. (Tuesday was pretty chilly and rainy… I regretted not packing any kind of coat!) But then it was at least sunny with leaves on trees and that made it more…

Three Lessons from Fashion Week

Is it wrong that I’m kind of glad that fashion week is ending?! (Mostly I just want Instagram to go back to the regularly scheduled programming.) It’s definitely fun and I love getting to participate, but overall it’s just not completely my thing. I keep my schedule super simple, skipping shows and events that are…

Instagram Outfits Lately

Okay, so I am not a blogger who could ever post gorgeous outfit of the day photos on my blog every day. I try to do one or two a week, but I generally wear pretty normal clothes. I do get dressed up for some meetings and events throughout the week, but when you work from home,…

Five Great Meals

I bet you were expecting recipes for this one… Sorry to disappoint! Instead, I wanted to share my top five types of meals. I think meals are important. Not in a balanced, nutritional kind of way (although that is important, too). Having conversations and taking the time to break and eat can be a huge personal…

Easy and Healthy Lunch

I wanted to share one of my favorite healthy lunches. I’m one of those people who can eat the same thing every single day. I don’t officially “meal prep” on Sundays since I work from home and it’s not completely necessary. However, I do tend to grocery shop on Sunday afternoons, with the rest of…

ON MY RADAR 1.5.24

I’m slowly easing into the new year and getting back to work. Unfortunately we got pretty slammed with sickness over our break, though it could have been way worse so I’m grateful for that. I also had some boring work administrative tasks that I wanted to get out of the way asap. I was also over…

Pumpkin Chobani

It’s been a while since I made my way down to the Chobani store in Soho. They sent me the biggest box of yogurts a few weeks ago, and it took no time for Garrett and I to demolish them. (FYI, buy the tubes of yogurt made for kids and put them in the freezer….

Cookie Baking Class at DŌ

I was looking through a list I had made about things I wanted to do in NYC during the summer. One of the things that I have been dying to do but just hadn’t gotten around to it was visiting DŌ in New York City. The bakery “went viral” in the past couple of years for…

Havenly Dorm Design

On one hand, I’m kind of glad Pinterest wasn’t around when I was heading off to college. How I wanted to decorate my dorm was largely imagined from what I saw on Facebook. But on the other hand, when I saw the perfectly decorated dorm rooms, I really wished I had done the same thing. I always felt like I was living in a dorm, instead of a cozy room I could call “home.”

Picking out cute bedding is as far as I could (can) get on my own. After college, I enlisted the help of Havenly to spruce up my NYC apartment. And when I moved to Connecticut, I used Havenly’s design services again for help with my living room design.

They have a new service right now for decorating dorm rooms and, um, the designs are perfect.
