If there is one kind of shoe that I could talk about forever, it would be riding boots. I’m still working on going through all my shoes right now and inspected my riding boots to see if they needed a trip to the cobbler before it cools off. (Please note: it has been extremely hot…

Guest Post: Tariro from Peppermint & Ivy
I’m really excited to have Tariro guest posting. I can never get over how talented she is for curating cute pieces for outfits. And then I remember how young she is (a sophomore in high school) and I’m even more blown away! I see big, big things for Tariro!!! ***** Hi everyone! It’s Tariro from Peppermint…
Winter Boots I LOVE
I wish I could wear ballet flats year round. Unfortunately, that’s often not the case in the winter months. (I do try to push the limits of this as much as I can though.) Instead of my beloved flats, I have a collection of winter boots that I love. These are all boots that I swear…
Good, Better, Best
We had a chilly end of September and then, naturally, a heat wave came barreling through the city. It was so strange to go from beautiful (and perfect) sweater weather to pulling shorts back out of the closet. One day was so warm, I went for Jacks, chino shorts, and a polo shirt. Even with the…
Navy // Black
I rarely mix browns/blacks/navys. Maybe I’ll wear brown riding boots with black leggings, but even then I feel a little weird. Navy and black seems so… contradictory! I have a handful of black shoes and black handbags to match and a handful of navy shoes with navy handbags to match. No mixing. Until I saw these…
My 2009 Favorites
Here are 10 things I LOVED during 2009 that I will continue to LOVE throughout 2010! 1) Hunter Wellington boots… I got them towards the end of ’09, but I’m already obsessed. I know I will continue to wear them for years to come. I’m not such a huge fan of weird colored ones though….
Can’t-Live-Withouts for Autumn
Living in Florida, we don’t get much of a sense of “Autumn.” We wear sweaters with skirts and melt. (You have to suffer for beauty, of course.) Last year, I experienced a real Autumn at school! Here are things that I just could not bear to live without last year and certainly will not be…
10 Must Have Shoes
I have a serious shoe problem. This year, I think I might have quadrupled the number of shoes I have. I have a rack in my second closet with my dressy shoes, a pile of my everyday shoes by the door, a huge bin under the bed with all my flats, and a massive bag…
Eight Ways to Wear a Barbour
I’ve been wearing my coats more regularly now. Even if it’s warmer in the afternoon, I need one in the morning while walking the dogs at the very least. The easiest coat to grab for just about everything is a Barbour Beadnell. I have a few that I’ve been gifted/purchased over the years. You don’t need more than one, though. They’re solid coats that will last you a lifetime and well worth the price. (Imagine passing yours down to your kids one day!)
Two years ago, I traveled to England and Scotland with Barbour to learn more about the brand. It was an unreal trip for a ton of reasons, but after touring the factory, I was completely obsessed with the brand and their dedication to quality.
Tuckernuck recently put out their Barbour guide, and even though I already love the brand, I find it helpful to see how they style the outfits. (True story: I wish the Tuckernuck girls would style me every day.) It also inspired me to share how I’ve styled my Barbour coats over the years.
